God has a plan for each person’s life. His plan is designed just for you and no one else because you are very special to our Creator. Some people push away God’s call on their life to become a true believer. They want their own way and reject God, thus losing out on God’s special plan for them. Let’s look at God’s Word, the Bible:
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10) “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye...” (Psalm 32:8-11)
In short, God will teach, guide, and place mercy around the righteous or the true believer.
See Psalm 37:22-23, which states the Righteous and Blessed submit to the leading of the Lord, and walk in God-ordered steps on life’s pathway with delight. There are many texts throughout the Bible that encourage people to do God’s will and receive His blessings. To take advantage of God’s love, protection, and care, read and live by Romans 12:1-2. First, one must surrender completely to God, proving what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. By living this way one will understand our Heavenly Father, and really know His ways. To really know God’s will one must surrender completely without any reservations. It must be a surrendering that shows the trustworthiness of God in all aspects of our life.
Verse two goes on to show a complete separation from all things around the one wanting to conform to God’s plan for his/her life. This is a separation from the world and all worldliness, being “not conformed” to the world’s pleasures, patterns, and principles, but to be conformed to the image of God’s Son, Jesus. The true believer will live a life centered on and in God’s will, obeying the Word of God, the Bible.
I John 2:15 states: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” Verses 16-17 continue “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” We see that a true believer must be “doing the will of God.”
Now, back to Romans 12:2. Note that a true believer must change by renewing his mind. God’s plan for a person cannot be known while following a carnal, sinful life style. God only reveals His plan to those who are spiritually-minded and whose lives are transformed by God’s Holy Spirit.
Thus to discover God’s plan for one’s life, he must live a surrendered life, a separated life and a spiritual life.
