Biblical promises are still for anyone that will turn their lives over to Jehovah God. The Apostle Peter states, “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: That by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature.” (2 Peter 1:4). In the Holy Bible God promises pardon to people who will be converted from unbelieving sinners to believers. Repent...and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out” (Acts 3:19). God’s pardoning grace converts our will, ways and walk of life. “Old things are passed away.” (2 Corinthians 5:17), but we must come to God in simple child-like trust and faith, believing the promises. God’s amazing grace is sufficient to forgive all sins, such as are described, but not limited to those in 2 Timothy 3:2-5 and Revelation 21:8.

All who repent of their sins, turn away from evil and leave their sins, God promises to forgive that person’s sins and save them. (Ephesians 2:8). The Bible promises God will cleanse a person from sin. “...Giving them the Holy Ghost (Spirit)...purifying their hearts by faith.” (Acts 15:8, 9). Many people do not commit their will totally, wholly, and fully to God. They hold back a portion for selfish endeavors. When believers totally surrender to God, the sacrificial death and blood of Jesus Christ cleanses their heart from all sin. (1 John 1:7). Cleansed believers love God and are loved by God (1 John 4:7-21).

The Bible promises peace that calms us. “And the peace of God... shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). The world today does not know how to find peace. All they know is conflicts, stress and danger all around as seen in the news reports. Peace can only be found in Jesus Christ. He promised “...my peace I give unto you... Let not your heart be troubled...” (John 14:27). Christ’s peace calms those who trust in Him. To have His peace, one must accept the peace that He gives.

The Bible promises power from God so that true believers will conquer evil and witness of God’s plan of salvation. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost (Spirit) is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses until me (Jesus) (Acts 1:8). Spirit-filled believers will have heavenly power to love, comfort and witness to others for Jesus. The true believer will be diligent in prayer, Bible study, and in attendance with a truth-teaching church group. The true believer will be able, through the power of God to overcome trials and troubles of life and be victorious over sins of all types. God’s Word, the Bible, asks and promises “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?...(No one nor any thing) shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35-39).
