INTRODUCTION

The doctrinal statements that follow are those of “THE WESTSIDE CHURCH OF GOD (SEVENTH DAY), INC.”, 5520 South Santa Fe Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73109.

These statements were revised and approved by the local church board yet do not constitute a closed creed. THE WESTSIDE CHURCH OF GOD (SEVENTH DAY), INC. is always open to spiritual growth and to a new and better understanding of the Bible.

THE WESTSIDE CHURCH OF GOD (SEVENTH DAY), INC. encourages its members to search the Bible to know the difference between what the Bible teaches, and what is generally taught as scriptural truth. The truth will set each believer free, (John 8:32) and it is everyone’s responsibility to seek truth with individual and group Bible study. Since Bible interpretation is an honorable goal, yet it is not for private interpretation (2 Peter 1:19-21). Therefore, group Bible study is encouraged.

THE WESTSIDE CHURCH OF GOD (SEVENTH DAY), INC. is, and will continue to be, open to spiritual growth and deeper understanding of the Bible. Therefore, these statements of belief represent this church’s best understanding of the Bible at the present time.
